Slow approval for government loans in agriculture and processing sectors

JOHOR BARU: Government loans for entrepreneurs in the agriculture and processing sectors are slow to be approved - with only about 10% of the applicants having received their funds.

“A total of 239 entrepreneurs applied for the loan totalling RM4.95mil and as of June 9, 32 applications have been approved,” Johor Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development, Education and Higher Learning Committee chairman Datuk Maulizan Bujang said.
