MUAR: Efforts will be conducted to dig canals and drain water from 4,000ha of swampy areas in Kampung Lubuk Kopi, Lubuk Bakul and Pajang Sari near Pagoh.
Jorak assemblyman Dr Shahruddin Mohd Salleh said the swamps, mostly in peat-soil areas more than 1km wide and 10km long, could be productive agricultural areas.
