SUNGAI Pinang, a heavily polluted river in Penang, may be clean enough for swimming in five years.
This is because the river’s water quality will be upgraded to Class II, which is clean enough for people to swim in, under Phase Two of its rehabilitation which will commence after 300 families are relocated.
