A FANTASY-BASED manga (Japanese comic or graphic novel) entitled The Dragon’s Maiden bagged the Grand Champion award for Ho Ming Li in the primary school category of the Junior Manga Challenge (JMC).
Described by the judges as “soulful” with a raw appeal and excellent story plot, the 30-page manga featuring a Red Riding Hood-like protagonist, was all the more remarkable for having been created entirely without the aid of computers or other digital means.
