The media should play a more active role in creating awareness on crime prevention said Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation chairman Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal.
He said the media, be it electronic, print or online, can play a vital role in educating the public that crimes can be averted if only they were more careful and alert to the dangers around them.
