ONLY 316 illegal factories of the 590 operating in the Kajang municipality have complied with the Department of Environment (DOE) regulations to obtain business licences.
Council president Datuk Hasan Nawawi Abdul Rahman said 356 illegal factories had applied but only 316 were eligible under the state-wide legalisation process extended to 2010.
