Lower electricity tariffs, chamber tells govt

NOW that the government has brought down the price of petrol, it should also lower electricity tariffs, said Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

PCCC president Tan Sri Tan Kok Ping told a press conference yesterday that the government should order Tenaga Nasional Bhd to lower its electricity rates to help the industries, the people and the country face the global economic slowdown.
