SANDAKAN: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) seized 1,800 tonnes of sand worth RM40,000 taken illegally from a river in Kampung Kalumpang, Pitas.
A tug boat and barge used to transport the sand were also confiscated by an MMEA patrol conducting checks at a jetty in Bandar RamaiRamai here.
