THE Alor Star City Council will use five new garbage trucks and hire temporary workers to overcome garbage collection woes in the city, said Kedah Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohamed Taulan Mat Rasul (pic).
He said the trucks were delivered by the Housing and Local Government Ministry recently but could not be used as they had yet to be registered with the Road Transport Department.
