Video conferencing likely for Malaysian courts

KUCHING: The Federal Government may consider the use of video conferencing and other ICT facilities in courts nationwide following the successful implementation of a pilot project in Sarawak.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said the video conferencing system used by Sarawak courts not only helped speed up the disposal of cases but also saved time and costs for judges and lawyers.
