THE crime index for Taman Desa near Old Klang Road has seen a drop of 24 cases from January to July compared with the same period last year, said Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid.
Wan Bari said the drop was due to the civic awareness among residents and the role of an active residential association.
