POLICE foiled at attempt to smuggle in 608 crates of branded liquor worth more than RM300,000 in a raid on a locally registered ship at the Prai wharf near Bukit Mertajam.
A local man, in his 40s, and seven Indonesian crew members, aged between 25 and 30, were arrested in the raid which was conducted at 2.15am on Saturday following a tip-off.
