The case for extending working hours

THE Master Builders Association of Malaysia (MBAM) is thankful to DBKL director- general Datuk Salleh Yusup for his statement in the media on July 16 regarding the City Hall's position on extension of working hours for construction sites in the Klang Valley.

MBAM is aware of and understands City Hall’s dilemma, and that the suspension of approval for additional/extension of working hours in construction sites was in response to the public’s complaints and DBKL officers are strictly enforcing the permitted hours, which is 8am to 6pm from Mondays to Saturdays with no work allowed on Sundays and public holidays.
