THE Penang Government is close to reaching a compensation agreement for five cockle-breeding farms in Batu Kawan which will be affected by the construction of the RM4.5bil second Penang bridge.
The farms are located at an area where a temporary platform will be built by UEM Construction Sdn Bhd for construction and piling works.
