SIBU: Sarawak taxi owners may be forced to increase fares soon due to the high cost of fuel, tyres, batteries and spare parts.
Associated Taxi Owners Association of Sarawak chairman Ting Ing Kuok said they had appealed to the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board for a fuel subsidy at a recent meeting.
