KOTA KINABALU: A row of wooden shophouses dating back to the 1950s in the northern town of Kota Belud, about 120km from here, was destroyed in a mid-afternoon fire.
No casualties were reported after fire swept through and gutted nine shop units just after 2pm, Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Department Chief Surin Sipang said.
