Taking centre stage is Tell No One as this film won Cesar Best Director, Best Actor, Best Editing and Best Music written for a film and Lumiere Best Film, World Audience Award among other awards in 2007. It is a thriller drama of a man accused for Margot Beck’s death. Eight years later, Margot’s husband receives an e-mail titled ‘tell no one’ which is linked to a video-surveillance web-cam showing a much older Margot – alive! The movie stars Francois Clu-zet, Marie-Josee Croze, Andre Dussollier, Kristin Scott Thomas and Francois Berleand.
Read My Lips is another highlight. Directed by Jacques Audiard, it won the Cesar Best Writing, Jury Award Best Director and Actress in 2002. In Golden Trailer Awards 2003, the movie attained Best Foreign and Best Independent award and nominated Most Original. The movie is about Carla, a shy woman with a hearing problem who is looking for love. She finds Paul who leads her into a life of crime. Carla and Paul’s actions go from malicious to seriously criminal when Paul hatches a scheme to rob a nightclub owner to whom he owes money – a scheme that involves Carla’s keen skill as a lip reader.
