Dengue trends blamed on changing weather


THE recent wet spell brought floods to various parts of the Klang Valley. But, lately, the weather has also been blamed for the outbreak of dengue: the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has admitted that it is having a tougher time this year battling the disease due to climate changes.

MBSA urban services director Dr Roslan Fadzil maintained that while the situation in Shah Alam was under control, the changing weather these days had caused the incidence of dengue disease to rise and fall.
