Snake Temple wants land back

THE Snake Temple committee is appealing to the Penang Government to look into the status of a piece of land located opposite the temple in Sungai Tiram, Bayan Lepas.

Penang Hokkien Kongsi and temple trustee Khoo Kay Hock claimed that the temple bought the stretch of land separating Jalan Sungai Tiram and a small lane called the Snake Temple Service Road in 1970 from the Yeap Chor Ee family.
