OLD mining lagoons and water pools in Dengkil, Selangor, will be used for water retention as well as recreation ponds as a measure to curb further floods in the area.
Dengkil experienced its worst flood late Sunday night when the water level of Sungai Langat rose to 7.8m, above the red alert level of 7.6m after two hours of continuous rain.
