MAB: New business licence ruling an obstacle for the blind


BUSINESSES affected by the new Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) ruling that requires beauty centres, massage parlours and cyber cafes to pay a deposit of RM1,000 to RM10,000 before licences could be renewed want the ruling revoked. 

The Malaysian Association of the Blind (MAB) deputy director Godfrey Ooi said the blind were already facing several obstacles in getting employment and setting up their own businesses and the new policy would make things more difficult for them.
