THE Blue Marlin Swimming Club from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah had a down-to-earth goal when they came for the four-day 26th edition of the National Inter-Club Swimming Championships that concluded at the Bukit Jalil Aquatic Complex on Tuesday last week. This was despite having promising national swimmers Clement Leong, Leung Chii Lin and Marellyn Liew in their 22-member squad.
The club’s president, Jeffrey Yong, said they did not set an ambitious target when they began preparing for the meet three months earlier.
