KOTA BARU: Attempts to smuggle in frozen chicken in 149 gun-ny sacks worth about RM35,000 from a neighbouring country were foiled in two separate incidents by the state Anti-Smug-gling Unit (UPP).
In the first incident, enforcement officers intercepted a mi-ni-van filled with 20 gunny sacks of smuggled frozen chicken worth about RM5,000 at Kam-pung Rahmat in Rantau Panjang, near here, at 4.30pm on Wednes-day.
