KUCHING: A Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) official has called on the Information Ministry to play a vital role in countering biased reporting by foreign media on Penans in Sarawak.
Datuk Norhyati Ismail, managing director of TV programmes, said RTM and the Malaysian national news agency, Bernama, could disseminate the correct information as well as news on efforts by the Sarawak government to bring the Penan community into the mainstream of development.
