THE maze of electric cables and banners strung up around the city centre has caused George Town to look like one big spider web when viewed from the top of Komtar Tower.
As such, anyone applying to put up banners, lights or lanterns should be required to pay a deposit to the Penang Municipal Council, which will be forfeited if they fail to remove them within a stipulated period.
