Suspending phone lines of illegal advertisers a brilliant idea

I REFER to the letter in StarMetro by Tam Yeng Siang on Sept 20 suggesting that the authorities consider enacting laws and policies that allow them to instruct telephone companies to bar or suspend the use of telephone numbers that appear in illegal ads. 

I think this is a brilliant idea considering that many public and private properties are constantly defaced by these illegal advertisers who obviously show no consideration.
