PENANG: Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) has explained that it only acted as the implementing agency in building 100 units of flats for the resettlement of tsunami victims from Tanjung Bungah here.
Matters of policy came under the purview of the National Security Council (NSC) while those related to collection, repayments and the price of the units were subject to the agreement made between the NSC and the state government regarding the housing scheme, the company said in a statement here yesterday.
