MALACCA: Many tourists flooded the road in front of the Proclamation of Independence Memorial in Bandar Hilir here to watch the Merdeka Jalur Gemilang convoy being flagged off by Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin on Sunday.
About 50 four-wheel-drive vehicles flying Jalur Gemilang flags of various sizes will traverse the country in conjunction with Malaysia’s 50th anniversary of independence on Aug 31.
