FLYING carpets, exotic belly dancers and waiters in Arabian costumes made Friday the 13th an enchanting evening for the more than 300 business partners of Watsons.
Themed Tale of the Magic Lamp, the gala dinner held recently at Crowne Plaza Hotel saw Watsons presenting more than 300 Health, Wellness & Beauty Awards 2007.
A total of 15 Best of the Best awards were presented to Ginvera, Beiersdorf, UAA, Blackmores, Unilever, LiveLife, Procter and Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Alliance, Garnier, L'Oreal, Pure Care and Mandom.
Apart from an exquisite Western dinner, the guests were treated to the soulful grooves and moves of Reshmonu, who clinched the Best Vocal Performance in an Album (Male) at the Anugerah Industri Muzik this year.
Watsons Malaysia general manager Neil Maffey said the Health, Wellness & Beauty Awards was the company's way of giving due recognition to the products, brands and business partners for their long term commitment in providing the best products.
“These products are a testament to the high standards of quality of our suppliers and allow us to deliver great value to our customers,” he said.
He added that the awards were given in the categories of health and wellness, slimming, skincare, cosmetics, toiletries, fashion, accessories, general merchandise and confectionery.
“Winners are selected based on their product quality and sales performances, which is a clear sign of what our customers want and like,” he said, adding that the Best of the Best category was to recognise the business partners' outstanding performances and marketing efforts.
Customers get to buy the award-winning products at better bargain during the promotion period that is on until today.
