Is there still hope for local football?

I REALLY do not remember the last time there was so much buzz related to local football. I had lost interest in it years ago, but I think with Astro and live EPL matches, Malaysians, or at least KLites, just could not be bothered. 

The sad thing, of course, is that even with this “buzz”, hardly anyone is talking about it. It really comes across as if we just do not care, or have given up all hope. Of course, this is not a new phenomenon, and I suppose the dismal performance by our national football team at the current Asian Football Cup is reason enough.
