Store’s in-house brand gaining shoppers’ trust

JUSCO Selection, the inhousebrand of Jusco, takespride of place in the Juscostores with a wide range of productsin the home, food and personalcare departments. 

Aeon Co Bhd SSM merchandising division general manager Mitsuru Nakata said Jusco Selection was a label created in line with Aeon’s private brand merchandise development. 

“Our objective is to retain the customers’ trust and loyalty in our private brand. 

“We focus on developing good quality merchandise with competitive prices, to upgrade our customers’ lifestyle in terms of health and fashion. 

“The brand development first took off in January 2005 and brand loyalty has been growing steadily ever since,” he said at the recent Jusco Selection Road Show press conference.

He said the company believed customers had grown to trust and value Jusco Selection as a brand because products were affordably priced and of high quality. 

“Our products have all gone through a series of stringent tests by our panel before we launch it in the market so as to ensure safety and quality,” Nakata said. 

He said Jusco Selection focuses on the development of food items by emphasising on safety and hygiene, quality in terms of materials used, effectiveness and taste, as well as reasonable pricing to be enjoyed by every group of customers. 

“Lastly, we look at upgrading the standard of the merchandise as well as meeting the needs and demands of the changing lifestyle of our customers, who are now concerned with the health and wellness aspects. 

“Therefore, we are concerned about developing the food items with healthy value-added features so that customers can be assured that there is no added sugar, no added preservatives, no added monosodium glutamate, low sugar and low sodium,” he said. 

Jusco Selection also features exclusive 100% cotton bedding products, ranging from fitted sheets to comforter sets, in its Home Fashion Department.  

And in the household selection, customers will find items like Jusco Selection dish wash and fabric softener, among others. 

Jusco Selection also has in the food category its popular Premium Pizza, Jumbo Chicken Cocktail with Cheese, Jumbo Chicken Cocktail with Black Pepper and 100% juices such as apple and orange juice. 

Two new products in the personal care range are Jusco Selection toothbrush for adults and kids and hygienic hand wash that comes in apple, sweet berry and peach fragrances.
