ANAK-ANAK Kota (AAK), or Children of the City, a programme that educates young people on the importance of heritage conservation, will re-enact Penang Island’s history in musical drama Ronggeng Merdeka.
In a recent sneak preview at SM Convent Light Street in Penang, 30 young actors, dancers and musicians from AAK performed two scenes from the musical drama – cultural interaction in Penang in the 1930s and the Japanese Occupation in the 1940s.
