Abdul Rahman: Promote astronomy among villagers

SIMPLIFY astronomy to generate wider public interest in the subject, urged Penang Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas. 

“Efforts must also be taken to promote astronomy among villagers. I hope astronomy conventions can also be held in rural areas to provide opportunities for villagers to appreciate astronomy and understand the close relations between science and religion,” he said when opening a three-day national level Astronomy Convention at Universiti Sains Malaysia yesterday.
