Indon student prompted to organise help for flood victims

BATU PAHAT: For engineering student Rafika Ida Mutia, from Bandung, the recent Johor floods brought back sad memories of Indonesians who were made homeless and forced to live in makeshift tents during the 2004 tsunami.

This prompted the 21-year-old third-year student at Univerisiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten) to pass the hat around to collect donations and group together volunteers to help clean up flood-affected areas in Batu Pahat.
