IPOH: A quarry contractor was able to make EPF contributions for its employees despite claims that it could not pay RM620,000 in retrenchment benefits to 32 workers, a Sessions Court heard.
Loo Ming Cheong, one of the directors of Ng Kuok Thai & Sons (Kanthan) Sdn Bhd, testified that the amount owing in retrenchment benefits and outstanding bonuses was too much to pay.
