Sabah to set up rubber and forest plantations

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government will be spending some RM50mil to establish forest and rubber plantations in the state’s economically depressed northern region.

State Secretary Datuk K.Y. Mustafa said on Saturday that the once ailing Sabah Forest Development Authority (Safoda) had been given the green light by the state cabinet to seek a Federal government loan for these land development schemes.
