PENANG: About 80,000 locals and tourists are expected to turn up for the state-level Chinese New Year celebrations at the heritage enclave of Armenian Street, Can-non Street, Soo Hong Lane, Ah Quee Street and Acheh Street on Feb 24.
State Tourism Development and Environment Committee chairman Teng Chang Yeow said some 80 Chinese clan associations and guilds would be involved in the event.
