KOTA KINABALU: The Health Ministry is planning to carry out a joint operation with the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries Ministry to weed out the use of the banned chemical beta agonist in pig and cattle farming in the state.
The operation, currently being carried out in Peninsular Malaysia, will be extended here to ensure high quality meat free from the harmful substance are sold, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.
