BALIK PULAU: Three accused in the RM18mil microprocessor theft case were taken to the police district headquarters here where the seized items were kept.
The trio – N.Suresh, 32, K. Enthirajithan, 41, and P.Maran, 37 - were taken there at 2.30pm in connection with their case which was heard in a magistrate’s court yesterday.
Also present were magistrate Shahrizat Ismail, DPP Mohd Rehan Mohd Aris, defence lawyers R.S.N. Rayer and V. Jeevaretnam and several Intel Technology (M) Sdn Bhd engineers.
The engineers assisted by explaining the number of pellets found in the boxes containing the microprocessors and how the microprocessors were packed.
The party then returned to the court and the case was postponed to June 25 and 26 for continued hearing.
Former storehand Suresh is accused of stealing RM18mil worth of Madison microprocessors belonging to Intel from the multi-national company's store between 2pm and 4pm on July 10.
Another former staff of the company, Enthirajithan, 41, faced a charge of abetting Suresh, while Maran, 37, was charged with retaining 43 stolen boxes with 2,782 units of the microprocessor in Juru at 9pm on Aug 10.
