KL-Kuantan rail service proposed

KUANTAN: It will be faster to travel by train than by road from Kuala Lumpur to the Pahang capital if a high-speed rail service between the two destinations becomes a reality by 2015.

This is part of a proposal in the National Physical Plan to turn Kuantan into the eastern region’s main conurbation centre, said Director-General of Town and Country Planning, Peninsular Malaysia, Datuk Mohd Fadzil Mohd Khir.
