A showcase of clan’s history

WHEN the Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi museum was ope-ned in 2002, Singapore’s wealthiest banker and hotel owner Tan Sri Khoo Teck Puat donated SGD50,000 (RM116,873) to the museum.

Now that the clan is about to wrap up its year-long centenary celebrations of its temple in Penang, it is looking forward to upgrading the museum using that yet un-utilised funds donated by the Malaysian-born clansman who died in 2004.
