JOBSEEKERS take note: the Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) College Career Fair will be on from Nov 8-10 at the colleges sports complex in Jalan Genting Kelang, Setapak.
The fair, in its fifth edition this year, aims to provide prospective employers from various industries with an opportunity to source for new employees, as well as to create job opportunity awareness amongst graduating students from TAR College.
It also serves as a platform to meet the goals of employers and students while creating opportunities for employers to provide more information on what they expect from employees.
In turn, graduates can evaluate career options available to them based on their skills, knowledge and interests.
A total of 71 companies (including Gamuda, CIMB Bank Bhd, KPMG, Maxis Mobile Sdn Bhd, Resorts World Bhd and United Overseas Bank (M) Bhd) occupying 73 booths will cover a diverse range of industries like banking and finance, business and management consultancies, tourism, retail, real estate, software and information technology at the fair.
Twenty-four Career Talks addressing topics like job opportunities in various industries, business etiquette and resume writing and interview skills will also be held.
The talks will be delivered by representatives from participating companies and professional bodies.
Job recruitment portal, StarJobs Online, will be setting up a booth at the fair, where you can sign up and stand a chance to win a number of prizes like movie passes to Diary and Step Up.
Complimentary copies of The Star newspaper, courtesy of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Malaysia Chapter, will also be given away to visitors to the Career Fair.
Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Fong Chan Onn will launch the fair at noon on Nov 9.
The fair will be open from 9.30am-5.30pm daily.
