It was carnival-like in Kuantan on Saturday as 39 Chinese associations and temple committees joined forces to organise a colourful procession with floats in conjunction with the Nine Emperor Gods Festival.
The Nine Emperor Gods, or “Jieu Hwang Yeh”, are believed to dwell in the stars in heaven under the reign of “Thien Hou” or the Queen of Heaven.
