As a goodwill gesture, Taman Botani will throw in complimentary gardening consultations.
The annual plant sale is aimed at gardening enthusiasts wanting to further beautify their gardens with choice plants at reasonable prices. Tents will be set up outside the Visitor Interpretive Centre to accommodate the sale.
The sale will be held until Oct 29. Visitors can drop by between 10am and 4.30pm from Oct 19 to 23 and between 10am and 6pm from Oct 25 to 29. The park will be closed on Oct 24 in view of Hari Raya.
One of several parks in Putrajaya, which is designated as a garden city, Taman Botani in Precinct 1 is designed as a haven with an abundance of greenery and verdant-themed gardens with tropical and exotic plants.
Small colonies of bugs and insects drawn to the flora also thrive here and may be seen during walks through the lush parts of the park fringing the manmade Putrajaya Lake.
In conjunction with the festive season, the plant sale will incorporate a ketupat-weaving competition while other fun-filled activities include potted plants arrangement, vivarium-making demonstration, science shows and exciting games for children.
