DURING the 1960s, in an art studio next to Chung Ling High School, Penang, a generation of Penang artists grew up together.
Guided by pioneer Penang artists like Chuah Thean Teng (who started the studio), Khaw Sia, Kuo Ju Ping and Lee Cheng Yong, the artists, who were still schooling then, gathered regularly to exchange ideas and inspire one another.
