TAIPING: Perak will soon become a major producer of Boer goat meat to help reduce the country’s food import bill, said Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the ministry would set up a national Boer goat centre at a 700ha site which was being run by the Veterinary Services Department in Pandok Tanjung, about 70km from here.
