BANDAR Sunway is a township that was designed more than a decade ago to depict a resort tucked neatly within the city. It is quite a wonder, with a hospital, a shopping mall, a theme park, hotels and educational institutions surrounding the township. What’s more, there is even an ice skating rink in the mall.
The most popular landmark in Bandar Sunway has got to be the Egyptian-inspired Sunway Pyramid shopping centre with a lion guarding the main entrance. Opened in 1997, the shopping mall houses a cineplex, a 48-lane bowling alley and an ice-skating rink in addition to more than 350 shops.
