THE 27th Penang International Dragon Boat Festival (PIDBF), which was held last month, has returned an estimated RM1.1mil on the RM500,000 invested for the event.
Festival committee chairman Lai Chew Hock said the estimate was the amount spent by 773 international participants and supporters and 658 local participants on entertainment, souvenirs, food, accommodation, transportation and entrance tickets to places of interest.
