EXCITEMENT filled the air as Fly Guy, FlyFM’s Big Bang Breakfast show presenter got ready to face the sharks in a record breaking feat in Malaysia’s first Outside Broadcast (OB).

The quirky breakfast show pair, Natalie and Fly Guy, took their show up one notch when they decided to broadcast live from the Aqua Theatre Shark Tanks of Aquaria, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

For the last half hour of the breakfast show, Fly Guy entered the tank in complete diving gear while Natalie broadcasted from outside the tank.

It was a sight to behold as Fly Guy swam together with sharks of different sizes, stingrays as well as different species of colourful fishes.

The quirky announcer also brought along a bucket of fish to attract the sharks.

With adrenaline pumping while being in the tank with the sharks, Fly Guy still managed to broadcast and introduced songs on the show and this feat earned Fly.fm a stamp in the Malaysian Book of Records for the first ever broadcast outside the studio.

This exclusive Underwater Broadcast by Fly.fm is made possible with the collaboration of Aquaria KLCC’s on-going Dive with Sharks programme.

Dive with Sharks offers an opportunity for the public to get up close and personal with the marine life of the deep ocean including Sand Tiger Sharks, Giant Blotched Fantail Ray, Moray Eels, and Giant Groupers.

The programme is opened to both divers as well as non-divers and it is a three-hour long programme.

Non-divers will be given a basic diving course to learn basic safety concepts and the usage of the dive equipment.
