ALOR STAR: Kedah has agreed to give rebates of between 20% and 50% to landowners following protest over the 100% increase in quit rent early this year.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said the rebates would be given over a three-year period until Dec 31, 2008.
